AI for the Cautious: a practical route to AI for organisations that can’t afford to get it wrong

If your organisation has been careful about AI, that's not a failure of nerve.

In regulated and expertise-led businesses like legal, insurance, healthcare or professional services, caution is what competence looks like, despite what your LinkedIn feed is likely telling you right now.

But careful shouldn't mean stuck.

In this session, Dr. Christian Debes (Head of Data Analytics & AI at Spryfox), Edward Chinn (Founder & Strategy Lead at Kintara®) and Dr. Alex Leathard (AI & Data Lead, Kintara®) draw on their decades of experience working with leaders in regulated sectors to demonstrate what careful and considered AI innovation looks like, grounded in a real worked example from legal due diligence in real estate.

You’ll get to see first hand how the guardrails, checks, and human sign-offs work - including how a single insight traces back to the original text it came from. Non-negotiable criteria for any operation in regulated environments.

Join us and walk away with:
  • A definition of the cautious organisation and the case for treating that caution as an asset, not a deficit

  • The four conditions for trustworthy AI adoption, and what each looks like in practice

  • A worked example of a high-stakes AI system built for a cautious, regulated context

  • One slide you can put in front of your own leadership: what defensible AI adoption looks like

  • An optional next step: Kintara's AI Readiness Assessment, with a joint Spryfox x Kintara response to your results

Who this is for

For leaders at organisations that are ambitious about AI but deliberately careful, firms whose product is expertise, whose reputation depends on trust and needs auditable systems.

You know your domain deeply. You're mindful of your risk exposure. You've held back not because you can't use the technology, but because nobody has yet shown you a route that would survive scrutiny from your regulator, your clients, or your own board.

Some of you haven’t started yet. Others have tried and learned hard lessons.
This session speaks to both.
